Home Fermentation Workshop

  • Savannah Hydroponics and Organics 4107 8th Street Savannah, GA, 31408 United States (map)

From cabbage to kraut! Learn how to preserve your harvest using the process of fermentation with guest speaker Brian Prewitt of One 29 Homestead.

Brian Prewitt has a passion for living self sufficiently and sustainability. Ten years ago he began converting his yard, located in a subdivision in Pooler, into a food producing garden.

Incorporating the skills and tools he learned from his grandparents who raised hogs and kept a home garden, Brian began to preserve his harvest, providing his family with food for months to come.

In addition to selling his produce and canned goods at markets, Brian also gives in-person and virtual garden tours and shares his experience in order to encourage others to grow and produce more of their own food.
